The Field Staff ministry is the centerpiece of our mission effort.  Field Staff simply means that the missionary is a pastor of Cole Community Church based overseas on the “field,” and is therefore a long-range extension of Cole’s ministry beyond the Treasure Valley.  The principal difference between Field Staff and Home Staff is the fact our Field Staff families are required to raise support to fund their living and ministry expenses.  Each Field Staff has come out of the body of Cole, and they have spent time ministering here in Boise before embarking on overseas ministry.  A majority of them have received training at the Cole Center for Biblical Studies.  All of our Field Staff serve under the field oversight and direction of an evangelical mission organization.  If you are interested in exploring the possibility of going to the mission field as Field Staff, contact the Missions Office (208-375-3565).

Cole Community Church has taken an active role in identifying, mobilizing and training our Field Staff.  We work closely with them in selecting the mission field and specific ministry to which they are sent, and the mission organization with which they serve.  But our responsibility does not stop there.  It is our philosophy that they are part of the Cole body.  Therefore, we are committed to care for them and their family’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs, to pray for them and support them financially, to formulate strategies with them concerning their ministry objectives, and to love them in whatever ways we can.

Each Field Staff family is dependent on the prayers and financial support of other Christians in order to get to and remain on the mission field.  For details on how to financially support or pray regularly for one of Cole’s Field Staff families, please contact the Missions Office (208-375-3565).

Currently, five Field Staff families are serving around the world.  Their regions of service include Indonesia, England (ministering to the Muslim World), Czech Republic, Nampa, Idaho (ministering worldwide), and the Middle East.
