Cole Missions encourages individuals from our church body to participate on various short-term mission projects.  If you are interested in short-term missions, or planning to go on a project, we would like to talk with you to see how we can encourage you and partner with you in prayer.

The Cole Short Term Mission Committee also plans team projects each year.  Our goal is to provide an entry-level project for first-timers as well as advanced projects for those with mission experience.  Whenever possible, we plan our advanced projects to support the long-term ministries of our Field Staff and missionaries.

Although short-term teams are not limited to summertime, this is the season when most projects take place.  Members of the body at Cole, including senior high and college students as well as individual adults and families, go through a preparation process and then minister as a team either here in the U.S. or in other countries.

Being a member of one of these teams provides an opportunity to “put your toes in the water” - to try out the mission experience.  Team members report a wide variety of experiences but all come home with a better understanding of their dependence on God and an expanded view of His work in the world.  Some experience a tugging toward a career in missions; most return with a new appreciation for the missionaries Cole supports, and become more involved in praying, giving, and encouraging our Field Staff and missionaries.
