Valerie started into her position as Pastor of Children's Ministries at Cole in August 2006. She shares these responsibilities with Donna Williams.

Valerie and her husband, Greg, have attended Cole since moving from Montana in 1989. Her first experience with Sunday school came in 1991 when God nudged her into teaching a summer class of two year olds. Several years later God brought her back to teaching with her son's four year old class, followed by seven years of teaching two year olds--her niche! During that time she also served as a Sunday School Coordinator for the two and three year old classes for five years. Valerie was a Bible Study Fellowship Children's Leader, with classes of two year olds for four years.

In 1999 and 2000, Valerie went to Kazahkstan and England respectively to help with the children's programs for Frontier Missions' missionary conferences.  In 2002 she became involved with the Women's Ministry, serving on the Women's Conference team as Registration Coordinator for two years and Conference Coordinator for three years. She was also part of the Pastor and Elder Appreciation Month Committee from 1999-2005.

Valerie and Greg have two boys attending Cole Valley Christian School: Adam (a junior) and Josh (a freshman). Spending time with friends and family is Valerie's favorite way to spend her free time.
