Helping Hands Ministry

This ministry of compassion helps those at Cole Community Church and beyond. We serve others by distributing gifts from our Food Cupboard, by providing Crisis Meals during times of illness or other especially challenging life events, and hosting Funeral Meals or Receptions.


If God is calling YOU, we want to encourage you to become a part of this important ministry.


Join us as a “Crisis Meals Provider”

  1. •        Receive an email when we become aware of an unplanned need within our Body in

                your geographical area

  1. •        Sign up online to bring a meal, thereby ministering to practical needs with compassion

  2.             and kindness. A full meal includes a main dish and vegetable OR salad. Dessert or

  3.             bread is optional. It doesn’t have to be gourmet, just filling and nutritious. Fast foods (i.e.

  4.             chicken or pizza) may be a possibility if it doesn’t conflict with diet restrictions 

  5. •        Deliver the meal at an agreed upon time.  Prayer will cover you and those receiving the meal! 

  6. •        Watch God at work!

Join us as a “Server for Funeral Receptions”

When a funeral is planned by one of the pastors at Cole Community Church the family is asked if refreshments for their guests or a meal for the family following the service may be helpful.  The Funeral Meals Ministry Team is contacted and interact with the family in a gentle, loving and considerate way by serving at these ‘Funeral Meals’.  People involved with this ministry:


  1. •        Pray for families who have lost a loved one

  2. •        With mercy, gentle love and compassion, interact with families by serving food at a Funeral

                reception

  1. •        Work as a team with other women in the kitchen and behind the serving tables

  2. •        Watch God at work!
