“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.’ … Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?’ … And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:35, 37, 40

The Food Cupboard Ministry

The Food Cupboard exists to care for members of the church body in a compassionate and practical way by providing groceries, prayer, and loving support during times of financial hardship or illness.  Our primary source for this provision comes from donations from our church community.  If you or your family would like to help this ministry, we accept grocery donations in the wooden box found in the foyer at the front of the church on Sunday morning, and in the kitchen during the week.  Monetary donations may also be made to Cole Community Church, c/o Food Cupboard in the memo line, which are used to purchase Winco gift cards for perishable food items.  We also provide emergency food boxes to people who occasionally stop at the Cole church office asking for help.

Cole Elders and Pastors refer individuals and families from Cole Community who are in need of assistance from the Food Cupboard to the Food Cupboard coordinators.  Each month we assist several families and individuals from within our community.  Your caring donations provide comfort and joy to these families in very practical ways and God is glorified.

The Food Cupboard Current Needs list in the weekly bulletin reflects the actual current needs.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and provision for this ministry!
